Hi all,
Lately I'm using Bex broacaster to run a query and send a report to portal users through schedule, the problem appears when the query exceeds the time limit, so is there a way not only for the bex schedule to run in background but also for the query to run as background job?
Thanks.
Hi,
i dont know exactly..but there s option of precalculation..
the use of precalculation of queries is to execute a program to supply the queries
with data that has already been uploaded and sorted so that the
dataset is available without accessing ghe database again.
then we can broadcast the information by email to the portal etc.

The only option for the query precalculation concerns the variables precalculated values.
I looked also at the workbook precalculation so i can process my query results through a workbook and then broadcast it but i met the same problem since i had a dialog time out because of the long proccessing from the query.
