No changes aloowed in transaction

Dear Folks,

I have configured 18 statuses for my transaction. Out of that 3 statuses I have assigned business transaction "FINI". e.g. I assigned FINI to 3,6,18th no. status.

At 3,6 and 18 status I get system and user status as "completed" but system allows changes in transaction on 3rd and 6th status even if it is considered to be completed. But on 18th status system doesnt allow any changes in transaction.

I want no changes to be made on status 3rd and 6th too. How can I do that?

Hi Nikhil,

Go to tcode smw01 and check the bdocs. If bdocs in not processed then process that and check it. If it is connected to R3 then it is not transferd. Also check the status . If in status completed you have forbidden it it wont allow to change. If you have done that go and change the status of that status.

Hi Chinmay,

I went to smw01 and processed the bdoc for the user. There is no connection to R3 server in my case. For status forbidden is checked. But still problem remains same.

Any other suggestion.

Hi Nikhil,

Basically Status Management Works on the way of number Range for a Status.Chack your Number Range for Status 3,6 they must be overlapping with number range of some other status which makes them changeable even though you have attached "FINI"

If you want to achieve your Requirement make sure that the Lowest and highest number ranges should not coincide with the number range of your status(3rd and 6th) so all your further changes shall be blocked.

Hi Nikhil,

As an Example Void(VOID) and Completed(CMPD) are the requirement of attaching FINI

so i have maintained the number ranges as shown below which

Enables me to see void in other status and set also the same too(as 39 lies in between all ATTD,INPR..)

But as i set Void the number range ahead it ie its number ranges is 39 to 39 so it locks all the other statuses and i can set any status ahead of it

As i had mentioned the statuses you need to Lock should have independednt no range which does not lie in other status in ranges

10 ATTD 10 40 1 1

35 INPR 35 40 1 1

39 VOID 39 39 1 1

50 CMPD 50 50 1 1

do the following:

Enter in yours status profile, and double-click on the 3rd and 6th status. Then click on new entries, and choose 'Change Document' and set it to forbidden and to no action.

This will lock the document for changes in this 2 statuses.
