support pack import problem

Former Member

Hello,

I am installing support package SAPKH47029 for SAP_APPL on SAP 4.7 kernal 6.40.

During the phase DISASSEMBLE, the process is taking more time and i'm seeing the message "tp user check OK" on the status bar from past 2 hours.

later i cancelled it and again disassemble it from menu utilities -> Disassenble Support Package but still i am getting the same message on the status bar.

Please help how to correct this and restart.

Thanks,

Niranjan

Niranjan,

DISASSEMBLE phase unpacks files from the appropriate EPS parcels and saves them to the transport directory.

Goto SPAM>Utilities> Check transport tool

Check this link

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/7e/c6c2ad98a711d2b429006094b9ea64/frameset.htm

Below link explains all phases in the order in which Support Package Manager executes them:

Also check below link for prerequisites for Upgrading Support Package Level

Hope this helps you.

Hello

Check if there is enough free space in usr/sap directory

what I assume is you might have run of space in this directory and that is why it is like this

if there is enough space, then let this run and wait for it finish and make sure that you are importing in background
