While uploading the bank statement thru ff_5 we are getting an error saying"statement 0005 opening balance is not the same as statement 0004 closing balance. The upload format is BAI

Hi,

Just check the statement 4 closing balance.

Have that as the opening balance for statement 5.

The upload is thru Electronic Bank and not manual

It is clear that closing bal of the previous statement is not tallying with opening bal of the current state.

The option that I could think about is to upload the statement on a different date.

Actually system checkes the Statement Number so when you upload on a different date also system will give the same error.

I would prefer/suggest you to reconcile why the difference is there at all. Ideally the Closing Balance of Previous statement should come as the opening Balance of the Current statement.

I have tried that option too,its giving the same message. Morover the transitory(interim) accounts also is

not cleared and all the items are in open.
