asset accounting year change

Dear Experts,

In my com.code 2007 asset fi.y is closed. Now i want to close 2008 but in that year upto sept dep is posted now i want to post remained months. Now my com code f.y is 2009 and financial periods 2008 and 2009 have been opened. when i am running dep afab i am getting error like retained earnings account is not supported please help me.
