How to set up SAP Data Services 4.2 SP02 AIX Installation default Repository configuration ?

I am trying to install SAP Data Services 4.2 SP02 AIX version .Before that I have already installed SAP BI platform 4.1 sp02 and configured the CMS in ORACLE.

When I started installation (DSXI 4.2 SP02) , it was asking to configure a default repository where I need to provide some information like

oracle version(11/12),database server name, port number, service id, user id ,password.

I have provided all those information correctly.

Even with those information I am able to connect the respective database using SQL developer.

But during this installation it is not working.

Giving error "Invalid database connection error.

Can any tell me what other type of details I need to provide to complete this installation step successfully.

Thank you for your reply.Yes, I checked and the port is working properly.

As the DS is not installed yet I have not used the repository manager to configuration manager.

Previously ,I also tried to do the DS installation skiping the step. But then I encountered another problem.

Then I am unable to access CMC page ,so I did not able to configure the repository from there also.

Did you configure the DS repository using Data Services repository manager?

Since you mentioned it is happening during the installation, either you can skip that step and configure it later or verify Arun Sai recommendation.

Check if port of Oracle is listening correctly. It should be a connectivity issue
