how to design the sales planning

Hi,

In BPC 7.0 Netweaver version how to get actual and plan values for sales department.

Please explain me how many dimension do I need to design.I'm new to BPC .

Hi Pallavi,

The minimum requirements for sales planing,

1.You need appset--copy the apshell and create a new appset.

2.Configure the dimensions-Account,Category,Entity,Time,Currency and Measures which comes with appshell default.

3.create an application which will include minimum dimesions and business rules.

4.Currency Translation(if needed) and sales amount calculation.

5.Reports which suits your needs.

this are some basic ideas as of me to do simple sales planning.

Pallavi,

irrespective of the APP you design...there are probably some Basic dimensions you would ALWAYS need. Dimensions of type...Account, Currency,Entity,Rate and Time...

may be you will end up not using the Rate Dimension for your sales app.

thts for starters.... and you always start by copying the APPSHELL Appset into your own Appset and start playing with it to suit your requirements....
