How to reverse an incoming payment as of a specific day?

I have a situation where I need to cancel an incoming payment. When you do this you have to choose between the date of the original paymnet and today's date. In this situation I need to cancel it as of a date in between these dates. For example, the payment posting date was 04/27/2009. Today is 06/04/2009. I need to cancel it as of 05/05/2009? Is there a way to do this?
