Hi,

I am trying to create a subscription for a document.

The problem is that when I select "Channel : E-mail Address" and click on "Save Subscription"

the error message occurs: The chosen channel is not valid for the following recipients.

When I select "Channel: Inbox", the subscription gets saved.

So the problem is with the Email Channel.

It appears that the email channel is configured (Channel, Channel originators, Subscription service), but why does this error message happens?

Solution

While creating a subscription, the message

"The chosen channel is not valid for the following recipients [groupname]/[username]" appears.

This is no bug, but part of the design. A subscription can only have one channel for all selected recipients. So the selected channel has to be valid for all selected recipients. Usually this message pops up if several users (or a group) is selected where one of the members doesn't have a email assigned (while the selected channel is email).
