Settlement in Previous period not allowed.

HI,

I m getting problem during Production order settlement.

1) Order has been created in previous period say month 2.

Now in the current period 3, if i settle the order by taking previous period in ko88, order is not settling.

The system is not giving any error , transaction is generated, it shows blank in detailed overview screen.

when i see the balance in order, it is showing balance amount.

I hav consult sum of consultants, they told to check in mmpv,mmrv posting, (ALLOW PREVOIUS PERIOD TRANSACTION), even that is activated.

Wht is the reason, please any 1 give me the solution, is there any setting in GL r PP which tells

"Previous Perios settlement should be allowed".

I have gone through settlement Profile and allocation structure...every thing is right.

Pls give solution ASAP.

Pavan,

Within a Fiscal Year, you can settle the orders, but the posting period allowed would only be the current period.

In the initial screen of KO88, you can use Settlement period as "02" and posting period as "03".

Hey,

The problem was,

system was considering Tehco date, since i was keeping techo on 01.06.09

and settlement Period as 31.05.2009 i.e so the order was not settling.

We made a Zee Program to activate Techo on settling day .

This solved our Problem

How were you able to set TECO status for a past date, say in your case you are running settlement on 01.06.2009 for settlement period 05? What was the necessecity for custom program, why not COHV program not useful if you are trying to do TECO on 31.05.2009 and then run settlement on 31.05.2009 for settlement period 05?

Can you please explain for the benefit of the forum members.

I think COHV is for setting Status for mass Production Order right..? if not let me know Pls further Uses.

if u say u can change the Techo date from COHV Than it will solve my Solution. but i dont find that option there..!

When ever we Technically complete the Order..the system Generate Techo Date in Table.

I my company we do Back day entry one day , Because we get a report after a day.

Suppose if my final GR is on 31.05.2009, i will Get report on 1.06.2009.

Now i want to settle the order . when i do GR and Techo order it take the techo date as 01.06.2009.

And when i do settlement by period 05, the system says settlement is not possible in previous period, as i have done techo 1st.

Coming to your question, the requirement to do settlement in previous period is because we are using MVP for FM.

Suppose i do settlement in Current period , the asset value date of material will be updated in current period.

Now after settlement i do STO on back date, if i do so the system pick the Last period price or MVP of that day, But not settled Amount.

So we have done a ZEE program to Update Techo date in back period and settle the order.

That's my excat question, how is it that your ZEE program designed to Set status to an Order in Back date? To my knowledge system would take only the current system date as the date on which TECO status is set. Is it that you are changing the system date itself?
