Hi All,

I had created a Custom Infostructure S503 and then move it to quality system.

Later on i had replace one key figure field and regenerate the info structure and also change update rule for new field.

Due to this changes all the earlier records from underlying table S503 gets deleted.

Also there are some records in quality System.

My problem is, when i am transporting the udated infor structure to quality system, its fail to do so

its shows me following error.

Post-import method MCS_METHOD_INFO_GENER started for MCIN L, date and time: 20090604083743

Date: 04.06.09, time: 08:37:43, generated by: DDIC, client 000

Table generator started

Table S503 has been saved

Message from the Data Dictionary:

Activation was interrupted

An error occured during generation of information structure S503.

There are no entries in the log

Errors occurred during post-handling MCS_METHOD_INFO_GENER for MCIN L

MCS_METHOD_INFO_GENER belongs to package MCS

The errors affect the following components:

LO-LIS-DC (Data Collection)

Post-import method MCS_METHOD_INFO_GENER completed for MCIN L, date and time: 20090604083743

Please advice how to resolve this error.

I would recommend the following.

1) Delete the data (it can be re-created again, it's not a problem) in DEV and QAS.

2) Delete update definitions in DEV

3) Activate the table again and re-generate in DEV

4) Transport to QAS, make sure everything is OK

5) Create new update definitions in DEV, test and transport to QAS

If this does not help - send a message to SAP.

SIS tables are very finicky and I myself several times ran into some unexplainable issues. It is better to avoid any changes whatsoever. Sometimes it's even easier to create a new infostructure than to change an existing one. There is a lot of code being generated behind the scenes.
