Results not matching while drill down

Hi

I have a report which is showing order qty , invoice qty for current month...this is showed based on the plant i.e plant in the ROWS..now one more report is req based on the brand..i copied the same query and then just changed by removing the plant and adding Brand in the row...but now when i execute both the queries...the order qty is not matching..but at the cube level both are having same qty...so wat could be the pblm..can any one guide me...

Hi Shilpa,

Your line items will change because in one query your taking plant & month

in the other query your taking brand & month.

check whether your totals(order qty & invoice qty) is matching or not.

when you reconcile your query data with your cube data, take same aggreagtion level in your report & cube.

for both the queries invoice qty is matching but the order qty is not matching....but at the cube level both are having the same total

Hi Shilpa,

When you check data in cube with report.

take same characters & keyfigure in cube & report.

when you check for order qty data what selections your taking in queryy level & cube level.

at cube level i just took calday , plant and order qty for 1st query and for 2nd query i took calday, brand and order qty ..so these 2 values at the cube level are matching..

At the query level i have given plant in the row and order qty in the column and then plant in the free characteristics for 1st query

for 2nd query evrything remains the same except for i put brand in row and plant in drill down...

Hi Shilpa,

In query result when your displaying plant & orderqty

Take those objects only in cube also & check the values in both(ie. report & cube)

when your query result is displaying plant & brand with order qty

takve brand & plant with order qty only in cube also.

now check the values.

as you said i took the combination of plant and brand in the cube and the data is matching fine at cube level

just check dragging the plant again in your second query. wht value it display.

in the first query after plant i drilled down by brand...and in the secon query after brand i drilled down by plant..then its matching

ok. then in the query make plant as no display. it should give you correct value.

go to properties of the characteristics....go to display as....make it no display

Do you have a one to one mapping between your plant and brand??

Else it might be possible that one plant has many brands or vice versa...

Thats why how can the quantities match...

Chk in list cube transaction by puttint the same filters as you are putting in the query..
