Budget check to happen

Hi,

I have created a planned order in MD11 and assigned a WBS( some amount is put as budget in WBS).

When I convert this planned order to production order and release and save, i want system to check the budget and if planned cost of production order exceeds the budget, system should throw some message..

Is there any config from PP side for this to achieve??

Yasir,

To my knowledge this is not possible for Inhouse production materials, whereas you can have the control of purchasing(Purchase Order).

Hi,

But in my last project, we used to have BOM assigned in activity ( in PS module) and when MRP is run, Production order thus created had a budget check during release of production order.

But in my current project, I am creating planned order manually using PR profile and then entering WBS. My requirement is : This planned order when being converted to production order, budget check should happen.

Honestly speaking , even I am not sure whether technically it is feasible or not it because for budget check , committment has to happen and I am not sure Production order is committment or not.
