BBp_PDHGP table question

This is probably a newbie question but I am looking at table bbp_pdhgp which has all the PO info. I was wondering how come the structure is not the same as in the badi bbp_po_change IT_ITEM data ?

Shouldnt it be the same because it is referencing the items on PO?

BADI refers the tables which are different from the BBP_PD tables. BBP_PD tables will be updated using FMs. What exactly you are looking for? I do not understand your requirement. Please specify.

well i was just looking to update the item data in the PO creation base on if a field was filled or not. I wanted to understand what is the difference or is there a difference between the bbp_pdhgp table vs the structure that was given inside the badi for item, header data.

BADI tables will have Includes that calls BAPIs for updating relevant PO tables and transfer the data back to R3 system tables.

Wheas BBP_PD tables are just within SRM for information purposes and to update the document history. By updating these tables the information will not be transferred to relevant backend system tables.
