query on the MRP Strategy 40 Vs 10 : Dependent Demand

Hi All,

I have one query on the MRP Strategy 40 Vs 10

Suppose we have common Dependent Demand for both Finished Good- Material X and Material Y.

I have initial PIR

Material X - PIR (independent)1000

Material Y - PIR (independent)1000

Sales Order comes for Qty- 2000 for Material B

If we use MRP Strategy 10

After MRP run- 10 Strategy will create Dependent Demand for 2,000

If we use MRP Strategy 40

After MRP run- 40 Strategy will create Dependent Demand for how much? and why?

Will I end up with more Dependent demand for strategy 10 or strategy 40
