Would checkin the activity involving code changes ,build and deploy the corresponding dc automatically? I just checked in the activity and i could see the application showing the result of the code changes. Please advise
Hi Saket,
Just a check will not build and deploy a dc. The activity has to be activated for the dc to be build and deployed (There is an option to activate even if build fails).
There is a presentation and webinar from an SAP Consultant (Abdul) on NWDI concepts:

When an activity is activated the NWDI will build and update the latest verion in the active part of the workspace. On activation the latest code is available to other developers connected to the NWDI.
And once you release it the changes will moved to the inactive of Consolidation and will be displayed as ready to import in the CMS.
You can read the NWDI topics in help:

And also the presentation by SAP on it:

Hi Saket,
There is a option "Disable Auto Deployment" set during the track creation. By default the tracks are set for auto deployment. So on an activation of an activity the deployment would happen.
But, if this option is enabled then the auto deployment will not happen.

Kartikaye

Thanks for the feedback, would it be possible to check whether "Disable Auto Deployment" was checked while the track was created . Or is this visible only during the time of creation of tracks.
If possible, please let me know , how can we check the same.
Thanks again for your valuable feedback so far..
Hi Saket,
This visible in the Landscape Configurator in the CMS GUI.
You can access the CMS GUI from the home page of the Development Infrastructure:
http://<ServerName>:<Port>/devinf
Then click on the "Landscape Configurator" link on the CMS GUI on the top left of the page.
Select the track and click on the RunTime System tab on the right half of the screen.
Regards,
kartikaye
