SPM - Firefighter ID valid to 12/31/9999 - Can this default date be changed

We are using the SPM module of AC 5.3. When we create a request for superuser access and select a firefighter ID, the VALID TO date defaults to 12/31/9999. Since we only want a user to have a firefighter ID for usually 1 day, is there anyway to change the default "valid to date" to "current date"?
