KM News Room - Name of Author

Hello All,

I have created a new xml form for the news room. I want to populate the name of the user who creates a news item automatically. i have tried using the variable $sap_user in the caption field of the input box. This successfully returns the user name of the user.

But in our organization, we are using the a company ID as the user name (something like FGJ928). We want to use the name of the person directly in the news. Any idea from where i can fetch this and use it in xml?
