Storage location extension

Dear All,

Our client maintaining storage location 40 for 500 materials.

Now client want to move all the materials to storage location 20.

How do i do it?

If i do in MM01,time consumption will be more?

for one material you can use MMSC

For mass maintaince use MM17

You may go for LSMW also.

go to MM17 and select "Tables" tab. From the list select "Storage location data for Material---MARD"

and execute.(Leave the "variant name" field as blank). next screen displays. In that screen go to

tab " Data records to be changed". In this tab enter list of materials, to plant and from plant,

to storage location and from storage location (multiple entries are possible) and execute.

Try trx MMSC_MASS.

However you mentioned you want to "move" materials... You can set automatic creation of SLoc in trx OMB2 and SAP will extend your goods when you post the goods movement.

I think its not possible to extend Material through MM17 for Org Level.

Hi,

In MM17 it works but we should give the required details in both the tabs.

In MMSC_MASS, we can give datas in the tab 'Data records to be created'.

At the OMB2 - Create storage location automatically, it will extend the material automatically if you good transfer over.

Use std Program RMDATIND to extend the Material for the storage location.
