process for batch master archive

Hi ,

i did batch archiving by following steps.

1. listed out old batches with zero stock,

2. updated batch deletion flag at a plant level in msc2n.

3. Completed archive process SARA - MM_SPSTOCK

after this exercise, batches got removed from table MCHB,batch search hlep,,,,, but still able to view in MCHA and MSC3N..

Where is the problem ?

pls guide.

this was an unneccessary step, as it is possible to archive batches which do not have a deletion flag.

3. Completed archive process SARA - MM_SPSTOCK

Pretty few information for a huge task.

do you have a deletion job?

What info was in the spool file to the write jobs?

What did you enter in the selection screen for the write job (please name any single entry, explain where the radio buttons and boxes are set active)

This selection screen seves several different purposes (hence it is not easy to understand)

after this exercise, batches got removed from table MCHB,batch search hlep,,,,, but still able to view in MCHA and MSC3N..

looks like a deletion job was executed. but you either have forgot the set the flag for batches or have set a flag for "Only consider batch stock records without stock" (this is the help text to this box: Indicator causing the system to delete only batch stock records without stock, and not to delete batch master records.

i m doing both deletion and archive jobs in SARA by following steps

WRITE >> MAINATIN VARIANT BY SELECTING BATCHES (entered batch numbers) , options ticked : consider batch record without deletion flag,consider batch stock records without stock,

and executing background job for archive

DELETE >>> selecting archive file name and excuting background job for deletion.

pls guide.
