Link Process Chain to Boradcasting Settings in BI 7.0

Hi team,

i have created process chain with following steps

1. Start chain

2. Load data in PSA (info package)

3. Load and activate DSO

4. Load Data from DSO into infocube

at same time i made BEX Broadcasting settings as you email the report link to various users using it,

These 2 settings are independent of each other and i have run them manuanlly,

is there any way by which i can automate this process and my new process chain would look like this

1. Start chain

2. Load data in PSA (info package)

3. Load and activate DSO

4. Load Data from DSO into infocube

5. Use IB settings and email the report link to users

Kindly help me here,

please do note i am using BI 7.0

Blusky:

You can use the process type trigger Event data change at the end of the process chain..

Also in the broadcast setting you have to use the option, broadcast when data change...

This will broadcast the report when the chain runs and new data is loaded...

but hey i created the even trigger varient but now to to link it with boradcast settings coz broadcast settings is independent

Hi Blusky,

When you schedule the broadcast settings in the scheduling you will have the option,

broadcast when data change in infoProvider--> give your cube name here...

Same cube name you will give in the event data change process type in the process chain...

So automatically it will trigger that broadcast setting...

well, it would take bit of time to do this as my EP is changed and i dont seem to find a way as how to configure it with BI system

is there any way or configurtion document of BI 7.0 and its EP??

Dear Mansi,

the connection may take time,

however i have unique issue here i am using query designer BW3.X and SAP Netweaver 7.0 i go to workbench via /nrsa1,

in bw 3x broadcaster i cant see the option what you just mention,

so doest that mean i wont be able to schedule the report email via process chain when my data load is finished?

Hi,

You are on BI 7.0 right?

The you must get that option. Doesnt matter if you use 3.X designer.

You will see the option when you create broadcast settings.

For that you will need the connection with the portal in place.

hi , yes its there and i have set up the process, thats spot on and many thanks,

actually i did ib settings for my report , but when i see the report now i dont seem to be find my ib settings attached it ? dont know how it got lost?

and if i create new settings with same name it says the name already exists, how is that possible,

i can see my settings in rsrd_admin,
