In VA41, suppress two fields for only a couple of contract types

Hi,

In VA41, we want to suppress Contract start date for two custom types of contract. SHD0 would not work because it is only for a select few types. What are the options?

hello, friend.

i do not know why SHD0 should not work. you can make a screen variant, probably the start date can be suppressed. you then assign the screen variant to your contract document types using VOV8.

however, if there other reasons why this did not work for you, please let us know.

SHD0 will work if we want to suppress the fields for all types, right?

But in my case, i want to suppress two fields for only certain specific contract types. I am not a functional person but I do think it is not possible to provide that limitation by contract type.

I would appreciate if you could provide an example with any contract type in your system and suppressing any one field.

Jonathan is correct. We use transaction variants and only the order types they are assigned to via VOV8 are affected.
