Storage Location for EP

I set the storage location for EP (MARC-LGFSB) for all procured items in one of my plants to 0002. It had previously been set to 0001.

Now all of a sudden, ME55 is indicating open requisitions for these materials as generated through our nightly MRP run, although it previously had not. The system did not generate such requisitions when the EP location was set to 0001. Nothing else has changed in the MM (MRP type, Safety Stock, Reorder points, etc). A number of these materials have not even had movement within the last two years, and no requirements either. Does anyone have any idea why changing the Stor loc for EP would have such an impact?
