Hi experts...

I am developing a very simple BPM example, try to understand the basics process of BPM.

Well, i've developed a process and task perfectly in NWDS. The process appear in UWL and i can execute fine.

My question is: The process is assign to some users. Is there some way to notify the user, when the process is started to this user? like as e-mail notification.

Regards

Marcos

Thanks for answer, but it isn't clean yet.

I can create the WS for to send the "notification emails" about it is clean.

But How can I disable the "fixed & automatically generated by the system" ??

What is happening:

The dafaul of process is when each task is completed so is sent an email with the status for the people assignment.

I'd like to enable the sending of emails only for some task,I mean, define what task I want to send e-mail and what I want to send.

See the picture as example.

http://www.tuliovargas.com/wp-content/uploads/bpm.JPG

1 - When I start the process so send an email.

2 - In the second Task(Request Cod Control) I don't want that be send any email.

3 - In the third Task(Confirm Cod Control) I wanna that send one email.

4 - When finalizing the process, so send an email.

Cheers.

You have to completely disable default mail sending and use your own WS.

Hi all,

I´d like to know How I can change the message´s status of the process, so, I would like to customize these messages.

The BMP is sending the emails and working normally, but not sending the message with the words I want it.

Someone can help me.

Hi,

In the current release the texts of the notification emails are fixed & automatically generated by the system.

Hope that helps,

Martin

I had to create a custom WS to send notifications. I use it as Automated Activity in processes.

Hi

I tried to configure the server mail in NWA like in above link. But when i select the application, there are no properties to change. Do i do anything more, to configure the server?

Hi Marcos,

Please note that you have to configure it at two different places. This might look annoying in the first place, but makes sense if you have a look at the engine in general.

First is setting up the connectivity in general. This allows the Java Mail Client to communicate with a mail server. That's what's being described in the section 'Configuring the JavaMail Client Service' on the page linked above.

Secondly you need to enable SAP NetWeaver BPM to make use of the Java Mail Client. Therefore proceed as explained in the section 'Configuring the Notification Messages Service'.

Finally make sure that the users which should receive an e-mail notification have maintained a valid e-mail adress in their user settings.

This should do the trick.

Hope it helps,

Martin

Hi, Marcos.

You have to config your mail server for your portal and give the email address for the user`s profile.

Then you can receive the email.

Best Regards.
