How to access system/ environment details

Hi,

I have a set of complex VC iViews containing embedded HTML (BI-IP planning queries). When I transport from Dev to QA, I have to go in and "point" all the HTML urls to the QA BI system...which is a pain.

Is there some way that VC can access information like the system ID of the Portal supplying the iView? Or even the url (esp. portal server host name) of the current iView? Then I could make my urls dynamic and remove the requirement to make changes after each iView transport.
