After SP5 install, CRVI attempts compnent install to no avail.

we have installed SP5R2 for CRVI.. We successfully brought it from SP1 to SP5. I have downloaded all of the subsequest .msm files that go along with SP5. Everytime we start SP5, it attempts to install components, and eventually stops because there is another program running. It asks to retry or "switch to" to stop other program. Unfortunately, this is as far as I can get. Any suggestions, or does anyone else expereince this? Do the .msm files data need to be imported somehow?
