Hi all

Is there a way to disable or turn off the functionality of generating a transport request

On Production if a system change is made it keeps wanting to generate a transport request

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You can Check the Scc4 Setting to enable or Disable setting.

But its production you cant open and close the client frequently.

Thanks

Hi Andre,

You can check the link.

http://www.sap-img.com/basis/restrict-the-transport-access-in-production.htm

Ideally making changes directly to Production is not advisable. But if You change the system setting in SCC4 then there are 2 cases.

1. When a change is made it shall ask for a transport.

2. When a change is made no transport shall be asked for.

Like Automatic Recording of changes & Changes to repository and cross-client customizing allowed.

In case you need help, plz let me know

I am using ECC6.0 and the options are

Changes and transports for Client- Specific objects

1 Changes without automatic recording

2 Automatic recording of changes

3 No changes allowed

4 Changes w/o automatic recording, no transports allowed

So on the DEV machine the option should be number 2

And on QA and PRD if i want to make changes and not generate a transport i must select option 4

Right ???

Thanks for the help

Nope option should be 1, becuase option 4 will not allows you to move any transport.

then things is you want to change the system objects with out transport request rite then option should be 1, if you dont want any transport request to come to u r system then the option shoulb be 4.
