Some fields are not appear in "Originals" Tab in DIR

Hi Experts,

In DIR some fields not appeared under the "Originals" tab like Document Status, Status Text, Created by User and Date/Time. I just wanted to know why it is not coming.

While seraching for information, i found that i had to installed ECL viewer then only possible to see these fields but ECL Viewer is allready installed & available with SAP GUI as i am able to see Autocad files in ECL Viewer.

I am not able to understand, did i am missing any configuration or it is just Bug in SAP DMS.

if anything needs to be done from configuration point of view, please provide me detail information.

Check with this table 'DMS_ALV_FILES' and appropriat strucure ones u find fields with help of Abaper you can make display or Mand

Hi Sam,

regarding your question on 'Originals' tab I have to inform you that the mentioned fields are not visible on this screen. These fields are all document info record related fields and therefore only visible on the 'Document Data' tab.

Also the installation of the ECL Viewer does not change the behavior here. The ECL Viewer is the integrated Viewer for SAP DMS and enables you to display your originlas in the SAP window.

May be you are right as Document Status, Status Text, Created by User and Date/Time are all DIR related fields. then why it showing in "Originals" Tab as those field will increase only confusion of End User.

Again what about the fields like Secure Storage Area and Mark Up indiactor, there column names are not coming in standard. Atleast Secure Storage Area is showing "Lock" icon but what is the use of Mark Up indiactor field. This Mark Up indiactor field showing only Mouse Tip Text.

Please guide me in this regard..

Hi Sam

The fileds you are mentioning in Originals tab, ( St. Status Text etc ) is indicating the details of the Content versions of the original files..

If the Content Version option is active , you can see them under the orginals tab and against them the status and details of that particular content version would be shown.

Mark up indicator says whether any mark up , layers have been used for that paricular content version..

I would like the details to be populated on the Originals tab and have verified that the 'content version' is checed off for all my documents, and it is...is there something else that needs to be done/configured in order for the Status Txt / User / Date/Time to show up?
