Error repliacting vendors

Former Member

Hi ,

I get the following error while trying to replicate vendors from ECC. "All backend descriptions are already assigned in the system". I have created and maintained the vendor org structure.

I am using "BBPGETVD" as the vendors dont exist.

Thanks

Lebo

Hi. I presume you are trying to use external number ranges in SRM so the numbers match ECC?

If so then please check your number range config in the IMG in SRM.

Dave.

Hi ,

R/3 vendor number ranges :100000 - 199999

Business Partner number ranges in SRM :

No From Number To Number Current Number Ext

1 1 999999999 50

AB A ZZZZZZZZZZ X

I did not change the business partner number range, i left it standard.

This is the first initial replication. No vendors exist.

Thanks

Lebo

Hi. Your number ranges in SRM are wrong, the external range needs to match the range in R/3.

The problem then is that your internal range overlaps.

Change your internal range to 200000 to 9999999999 or something, then change the external range to 100000 - 199999.

Dave.

Thanks for all the input , will change the number range , We gonna have 5 different types of number ranges . Can SRM handle that ?

Hi. Yes, just make sure that the external range in SRM starts with your lowest vendor number in ECC and ends with the highest possible number.

There will only be 1 range in SRM but it must cover all 5 ranges in ECC.

Just make sure your internal range in SRM does not overlap with any of your vendors in ECC or you will have major problems. I like to give SRM a very high range for internal business partners, then you can use most of the numbers for your external ranges to match ECC.

Dave.

Hello ,

Please verify if the Vendor is already replicated, by verifying the table VENMAP.
