Hi Avneesh,

Its quite simple. In order to import all transports in queue after every 30 mins, you need to first import just one,

1. As soon as you release your transport from Dev, it shall be in the import queue of the QA.

2. Select one transport from import queue of QA and click the button, Import request & not Import all.

3. Once you get a pop up. Do not select import immediately.

4. Instead select " At start time" and then just change the time. Say its 12.30 right now. then put the time as 01:00

5. Immediately go to SM37 and put the search criteria as

Job name : tms

user: your id

check all

date todays

rest as default.

6. You shall get one job on your id as scheduled or released.

7. If Released then select the Job and go to menu Job and Released<->Scheduled.

8. The again select the Job and menu , Job and change.

9. Change the Start condition as todays date, time as 01:00, periodic checked, period values as Other Period, 30 Mins, Save , then Save again till it says your JOb is released,

10. Check that the Job runs every 30 mins.

This shall solve your issue. Do let me know if you need help.

Hi Avneesh,

I would like to change one thing that i've written wrong at point no 2.

You need to select the Import all button, otherwise it won't pick all the transports.

After selecting that, Put the current date, then the start time and then the Interval and then 30 Mins

( This would not have come in the other option , plus it wouldn't have picked all the Transports, so sorry for that )

In case you need help do let me know.

What Nitin provided will work as well.

All the steps are contained in the link provided. The only thing I want to add is that you can control the 30 minute periodic job from the same TMS screens. There is no need to jump to SM37, though that is another option.

Good luck!

Hey guys...

Thx for all the steps... but I face an error thou I followed the above mentioned method. only for the first time the job finishes successfully, but later it gets canceled even though there are transport requests in import queue of Quality System.

Your quick reply will be highly appreciated in this regard!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Sai

Hey guys,

This note was the one 398589....

It has step by step info of how to go about for automating the transports!

It helped me & moreover we need not restart the system.

Hai,

You can write a OS level script for this. When ever you release a transport in DEV system it will be automatically transported into QAS system, you can acheive the timing of Transport from DEV to QAS by putting the script in crontab and let the script start every 30th minute of an hour.

Hi,

You have to check this page

it's about the Autotransport report you have to implement.

In that section are all of the steps you need including step 10:

u201COn the tab Date/deadline, you can specify when you want the import to startu201D
