EEWB and mass update of the field

Hi

I have created this new field in EEWB CRM 5.2. The field is added as a new field under business partners (contact person). The field is visible in tabel BUT000. Now I want to mass update this field. Have anyone experience with how I can mass up date a new field made via EEWB? I have tried LSMW but when I process in background the system gives me an error message: " the "xxxx" field does not exist in the screen.

The simplest approach to update the EEWB fields would be to write a simple report program and update the custom fields directly in table but000. However if you want change pointers to be written, then use the FM BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE in your report program. Another easy approach would be to use FM BUPA_CENTRAL_CI_CHANGE, specially designed for updating CI fields. With respect to Mass updates you do not have a tool for custom fields. However for some specific standard fields you can use the trx MASS or MASSD.
