DataStore Objects cannot be activated

Former Member

During installation of FI-GL BI content, error below is encountered. As a result, all standard ODSO can't be activated. Customized datastore objects cannot be activated as well. InfoCube, multicube and other objects (except DSO) are working fine.

Wonder how to fix this issue. Would appreciate much some help.

Thanks.

The creation of the export DataSource failed

Message no. RSBM035

Diagnosis

The system could not create DataSource .

System Response

The metadata for a DataSource must be created while the export InfoSouce is being generated. An error occurred at that time.

Procedure

Consult the appropriate developer (function module: RSA1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE).

In SCC4 look for Logical system name. Create a SM59 remote connection with that name (loopback connection)

Hi Dhanya,

Thanks much for suggestion.

Hi Sreekanth,

I have indeed checked RFC connection of BI to ECC. Anyways, have followed your idea and generally it worked. However, after fixing the RFC connection and having a "OK" status Check for BI self connection, error below is encountered upon DSO activation.

Basis is trying to fix the issue. In any case, perhaps last option would be to delete source system and recreate.

But if you have some thoughts in mind how to fix without deleting BI self source system, would really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot.

Transfer structure prefix for source system T90CLNT090 is not defined

Message no. RSAR325

Diagnosis

A prefix is defined for the source system for determining cross-system unique transfer structure names. This prefix is not defined between your source system T90CLNT090 and Warehouse T90CLNT090. There was probably an error when creating the source system.

Procedure

If you have not yet loaded data from this source system, delete the source system and then recreate it.

If the problem occurs again, check the SAP Support Portal. Create a new problem message, if necessary.

Hi Sreekanth,

Appreciate so much your inputs.

Source system and/or RFC connection seem to work fine. In fact, I have successfully extracted master data (text and attributes) and so are transaction data from source system. Just that for transaction data, it is loaded to PSA > InfoCube as cannot get any DSO activated

Thanks.

Hallo,

I think you have Checked the R3 source system connection. But as I said, you may have to check the BW self system Connection.

hello,

in the edit DSO screen, firstly run a check to see if it is showing you any warnings.

Also check the settings of the DSO, if anything is mentioned incorrectly.

Also try the program RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE to actiavte.

Hi,

I am using BI 7.0

I tried the following just to check if Solution as mentioned in SAP Notes 597326 worked:

- create a customized DSO with Company Code (0comp_code) and GL Account (0gl_account)

in key fields and Cumulative Balance (0balance) in data fields.

- have checked and sure that characteristics being used and its attributes have Active Status

However, DSO still can't be activated due the same error (The creation of the export DataSource failed).

Thanks.

Hi sofie,

You can check the BW self source system connection. Right click on Bw logical system - Check

The error may be due to the RFC connction failure to the Datamart system. Please restore the connection in SM59.
