Hello!
My NWDS has one DTR client for one development configuration. For this configuration I'm using server "A" as Development Configuration Pool.
Now I need connect to another track. I changed Development Configuraton Pool to server "B", created DRT client with correct parameters (name, folder, DTR url) and selected new DTR client in DTR perspective.
But NWDS tried to connect to server "A" not server "B" when I attemped to logon. NWDS failed to logon since server "A" doesn't exist in current local network.
It seems that NWDS used old Development Configuration Pool settings. Why? How to resolve it?
regards, Lev
Hello,
The only way I know is as follows:
1. Make a backup of folders C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user>\.dtc to A.dtr (for example) and C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user>\.dtr to A.dtr.
2. Remove the original content of .dtr and .dtc folder.
3. Open your NWDS and configure the new track.
4. Use it.
5. If you want to use Track A again, start from point 1. That means make a copy of the current .dtc folder to B.dtc and B.dtr folder.
6.Remove the content inside of .dtr and .dtc (NOT THE FOLDERS! Because you can not create a (dot)Folder!) and copy to content of A.dtr to .dtr folder and A.dtc to .dtc folder.
The servers are configured in C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user>\.dtr\servers.xml, but as far as I know, it does not working really well with various DI configurations on 7.0 (when you try to configure various servers and clients). I think it has been fixed on 7.1, 7.10 and 7.11.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
David.
