How to release locked materials without using SM12 transaction.?
We are not getting authorisation for SM 12 in Our organisation.

Due to some system internal problems while accessing some T codes ,the entries gets locked into
SM12,which can be further deleted.
But a material can be locked and unlocked using MM02.
Check and revert back.

goto MM02 and select Basic Data view.U have one Lock simbol .Click on that and remove the field and save .I think it will be unlock automatically.

Put the mark on X-plant matl status
The material will get lock for any usage.
U Can also use MM06 to mark deletion flag.
You do not need to get authorisation.
You have to tell your basis guy to delete it with SM12.
The transaction is ment for it.
there is no otheroption available.
