Thank everyone for your help.

The reason for this post is to be sure whether CRM Mobile Client Components could be deployed in PDA o HH. On such links only mentioned laptops as usually scenario, but in the installation guide there is a explicit requirement for PDA such: PXA processor, Win mobile 2003 and so on.

Could anyone assure that from above experience?

Thanks again

Efrain, As you might have noticed in other posts online.

CRM Mobile refers to CRM functionality delivered to laptops via CRM Middleware technology. SAP has applications like Mobile Sales (MSA) and Mobile Service (MSV) for a long time.

CRM on HH refers to usage of NW Mobile or NW Mobile Infrastructure. This side of the story could be a little confusing to people because of it's evolution path. In a nut-shell MI is a platform that could be leveraged to build custom applications and roll-out to mobile devices like PDA's, smart phones etc or Blackberry's.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

the PDA Mobile Application mentioned there is the so-called companion solution of MSA.

It is running on PDAs but doesn't synchronize against a MW system but against a MSA laptop directly based on a subset of data defined in the MSA application. It is also developed in the MAS like MSA.

Thanks Wolfhard

Then, can I say MSA is a part of "CRM Mobile Client Components 7.0" ? and also when you mentioned "PDAs but doesn't synchronize against a MW system but against a MSA laptop directly based on a subset of data" I guess it is the same subset that is dowloaded to Laptops, rights?

It is not clear yet, but what kind of objects can I download to PDA thru Laptop, all mobile CRM objects?

Warm regards

Hi,

using the name "MSA" means always the Mobile application running on laptop/PC connected to the CRM system.

This is still available and supported in 7.0 - see product availability matrix in SAP help portal.

For the supported objects in the Companion Version you can check the component/tileset <PDA synchronization> in MSY.

To be honest, I would not recommend to implement this scenario because it has a very limited functionality...

Thanks again Wolfhard

Last question or recomendation: the scenario seems to simple just Activities managements, accoun management and SURVEY, this last is the most important requeirement, do you believe it is possible for PDA,l what is your advice?

Is MAM part of CRM mobile solution or ERP and if above need MI as a main infrastructure?

Thanks for your comments

Hi,

I am not sure but I think only activity journals are supported with PDA companion, not surveys.

But to be honest I would wait for the new Mobile strategy of SAP and for the new products which will come.

MAM is connected to ERP/ECC (CS/PM) and is handling service notifications/orders and equipments.
