Knowledge warehouse installation

Hi All,

I had installed SAP content server 6.40, TREX 7.0 and SAP Netweaver 7.0 SR2 in same windows server. But when ever we start TREX instance the ABAP enqueue process is stopping and then come up when TREX is down.

Please tell me the standard criteria to install knowledge warehouse with TREX and content server.

Hi, are you have both on 32 bit server ? Can you say, under which user you install the TREX ?

TREX need's many resourses, how mutch memory you can , any other parameters of server.

Are trying to check log's in st11 why your enqueue is stops ? Are you check event log of your windows ?

Yes, we are running both on windows 32 bit server. Under <sid>adm we installed TREX 7.0. We have currently 4 GB memory, we may increase it later. We check logs but we found nothing.

4 GB memory is very low ... But i have one test server with configuration as you say, and all works (at least all works together in test mode). Can you say your DB , the pagefile size, how you configure your sap memory management ? But in any case 4 GB is very low, you need memory for MAX DB (for content server) for DB in your SAP, for SAP itself, for TREX recomended per 1 CPU 2 GB memory ....

P.S. try also this , start TREX ,check if enqueue stops and after check the dev_enqsrv log ...

Under <sid>adm we installed TREX 7.0

It's your really error, try to read installation guide , you can't use this user for TREX installation, mey be in this are big problem, i do not know why sap not allows installation under this user.

Hi,

We have SAP Netweaver 7 SR2 with oracle 10.2.0.4.0, Content server 6.40 with the storage in file system (i.e. we aren't using MAX DB), TREX 7.0 installed in same windows 2003 server 32 bit.

Page file size is 12 GB.

Ok, without MAX DB, it will work ,at least not stop's after start ... Are you check the dev_enqsrv log ?

Look's like main problem are your TREX installation under <sid>adm user...

Hi,

It is working now. Thanks for the help. We restarted the whole by stopping whole system. But we installed TREX with <sid>adm user and while installing it did not throws error.
