On SAP home page , you can see 2types of certificates , incoming & outgoing , what it means ?

incoming Certificate :

Means something that you demand for complience from vendor for the material he supplies.

lets say that you are in MECh industry.Concept of PDI(Pre dispach Inspection report) is there.Through Incoming certificate you can actually control or monitor certificate received form vendor.

& outgoing : Means that when you supply material to Customer.Complience of your material supplied is out going certificate.

like in Industry you give Certicate as per ISO9001:2000 to customer for product he purchase.

this is monitered thro'outgoing.

there are some pre-defined certificate types in SAP(Like confirmity to -

EIN & EN).

From where we can get detailed information on them as what there contenets are ?

Hi

go to Tcode QCC0>QM in procurement>Define Keys for Cerificat Procesiing->defiene Certicate type>select type-->details...

here you will get information & basic settings that are needed.

But these are predified yoy can create your own Ceri Type like: Chemical report,Planting report. etc
