Hello,
I got a request to change the certain ABC approver to XYZ approver.
I checked in SWI1 that standard workflow WS12300111 has been used and the approver is the immediate manager mentioned in the org structure. Now I want to modify this workflow only for the manager = ABC. and change that manager to XYZ.
How can I achive this without much changes in workflow or in the current workflow only?
HI
I think the main question is why ? Why do you want to change ABC to XYZ ?
Is it because ABC is the big boss and does not want to be bothered by the workflow that applies to the rest of the company ?
I think that changing the workflow that is working for everyone is not the best idea for one particular case.
What can be done without any change is to set up an active substitute for ABC on this workflow. ( if you have several workflow running on this machine you can achieve that with a substitution profile).
If that is not a solution for you then, do you use the org. structure for another purpose ? If not then why don't you change it, the guy does not want to do the job so why does he appears as the one in charge ?
If this is not a special case and you do have several others, If the BADI is directly used in the rule then you just need to implement the BADI there is no need for changing anything.
If not then you can change the rule, and as you are using a standard workflow, you can change the agent assignment of the task without copying the standard by just changing the workflow configuration using transaction SWDD_CONFIG where you can change the rule for the agent determination.
I Hope this helps
Stephane

Hi, please reply.
Can I make use of BADI PT_GEN_REQ to change the approver.
Which is preferred way - should I make changes in standard w/f for agent assignment or should i copy the standard w/f to new?
