SAP Introductory Books & Materials

Hello everyone. I come from a C/C++/.NET/Java background. And now, I am looking for a transition to SAP. A quick tour of the SAP portal raised more questions in my mind regarding the SAP platform, than it did answer.

So, I am looking for a guidance as to where should I start?? For a beginning, I am looking at online or print material on a comprehensive Introduction to the SAP platform as a whole (including the SAP solutions, NetWeaver, ABAP etc.)

I am not looking for a technical perspective on any of these. Rather a holistic overview of the entire platform, its components, products & services, so that I can chart out a more clear path from where to move on from there.

[www.sap-press.com|http://www.sap-press.com] is a good starting point for books.

Hi Jurjen, I have downloaded the entire SAP Books Catalog. As I was browsing through it, it again was causing confusions. "Discover SAP" & "Discover ABAP" are the 2 books I have choosen for the beginning. Am I moving in the correct direction???
