SCM 7.0 EHP4 (APO) compatibility with ECC 6 EHP4 ?

We are looking to implement SCM 7.0 EHP4 on Hana 2.0 on Azure. However the linked ECC system is ECC6 EHP4 on premise.

My question is: is there any technical or functional need to upgrade ECC6 to a later enhancement pack (EHP5,6,7,8) or can SCM7 EHP4 talk to ECC6 EHP4 without any compatibility issues?

We are implementing DP, SNP and TLB.

It is advised to use the latest support package of any EHP to ensure integration scenarios work with the latest corrections.
