    Dear Ramachandra

The G/L (Chq Issue) A/c you assigned while creating Account id in the house bank ( FI12) is used in making payment entry as follows :

    Vendor Dr...

    To Chq Issue A/c

The g/l account which is assigned while doing bank accounts ( In FBZP after ranking order ) is used in Printing Checks.

Thus while doing FBZ5 (Chq Printing) system checks whether the Bank SubAccount maintained in FBZP is same or not.

    Hope it solves ..

    Cheers

      Hi,

In FBZP the bank accout you are entering is actually the bank clearing account. And in FI12 while creating the house bank the account given is the bank main account. When cheque is issued it reflects in the bank clearing account GL. And when the cheque is cleared (as per the bank statement) entry is reflected in bank main account via bank reconciliation process at the period end.

    Hi Ramchandra,

For the ease of Bank Reconciliation we generally use at least two accounts for the bank. let's take a simple example.

Suppose we have two accounts 1. Bank main account 2. Bank clearing account.

Now when you receive payment from your customer entry would be

    Bank clearing account dr. 1000

    Customer cr. 1000

If your check has returned/dishonored then

    Customer dr. 1000

    Bank clearing cr 1000

and if you see your check got cleared in the statement then

    Bank Main dr. 1000

    Bank clearing cr. 1000.

So you can track uncleared check with bank clearing account and confirmed balance with Main Bank account.

In FI12 bank master you are inserting Main Bank Account

and in FBZP it is Bank Clearing Account.
