Hello ,
I have 4 different products which are made on same m/c .I created a common recipe group for it.
The bill of material will be different for all the same , only mfg m/c and time will be same.
Do i need to create a different recipe for each products or can work with same recipe group.
The bom for all the materials will be different .
How do i create the recipe ?
Regards
ShankarR
Hi Shankar,
Create Recipe with or without a Product. Then go to change mode of Master Recipe (C202) and then go Recipe Header. Here go to Material Assignment tab and assign rest of product code over here. That's it.
Note :- Under One Recipe Group you can have option of 99+ Recipe Counters. So it is all depends on user whether he has to go for only one counter for all products under one recipe group or go for different counter for each product under one group or different group and counter for each product. But there is one suggestion from my side and that is if you are using 03 inspection type and MIC's are different for each product then go for different Recipe Counter or Different Recipe Group for each product.

Hi Shankar,
You can assign multiple Materials to single Master Recipe Group-Counter and counter even though BOM of if each product is different.Have you tried with Recipe Change Mode (C202). For your information currently for one of our manufacturing plant have assign more then 200+ products to single master recipe without any problem.
If you are facing any error then kindly provide that error msg no.

HI,
As you said that the BOM is different for all the materials, then you should create different Receipe for each material.
As the receipe is combination of BOM and Routing Operations you should have a seperate Receipe for each material.
If this was the case with DIscrete Mfg then you can have different BOM with Same Rotuing will serve your purpose.
Hope this will help you.

i think one recipe group will do, since they have the same operation, BOM is created separated for the materials..
