can we download item categories & item category groups from R/3 to CRM

Can we download item categories & item category groups from R/3 to CRM ? If yes pl share the adaptor object name.

My question is before downloading of Materails, can we download item categories( for Sales transaction) and Item category groups to CRM with out maintaining these entries manually?

Eg: R/3 has maintained item category ZTAN , I need to download this entry to CRM by using Middleware adaptor object.Same for the item category group also.

Hi P.V.

In SAP CRM it is not possible to exchange sales transaction customizing such as transaction types and item categories. Instead you need to re-customize them in CRM the same way that they are set up in ERP if you want to integrate the particular sales transaction type.

Hello PV,

Object DNL_CUST_PROD1 downloads all product hierarchies and maps them to product categories from R/3 to CRM.

DNL_CUST_PROD0 gets the material numbering info.

Once these 2 objects are downloaded ,you can download object MATERIAL to get the actual data.
