My client reqmt is in such a way that they need Serial number instead of Product Description in all T-codes related to Customer service. Instead of the product description the serial no. of the product to be displayed.
You can see list of equipments attached to functional location... u cannot see the serial no there...
Check out with abaper u can insert any field for serial no...
Secondly
IE06...
Enter your Functional location... execute... U will get a list of equipment
then go to layout... select serial no and save the variant.. now u can see the field serail no... and wat serial standards for wat equipment.. etc etc...
Goto T code IE06, in the input mention your functionla location in Maintenance Data area, execute.
In the report out put goto varinat, select the field Serinal number and Functional location, you can aslo filter / ascending-descending type buttons on Funtional location field so that you get the data accoring to the functional location.
