We have Business Objects XI R1 (22.214.171.1245). I have a Crystal Report with three sub reports in it. When I run the report in the designer on the Crystal Reports server it runs fine, when I drill down the sub reports return data instantly.
The main report and all three sub reports use the same File DSN on the Crystal Reports server which connects to an SQL 2005 database. The problem comes when I publish that report to Info View.
It runs successfully when scheduled, I can even open the report in Info View and see the main report. Unfortunately when I double click on a record to drill down to my sub reports it errors saying "incorrect log on parameters".
When I setup the report in the CMC under the Process tab and then Database option I've specified...
Use same database logon as when report is run and Iu2019ve hard coded the user name and password to connect to that file DSN. We have a standard reporting user and password all Crystal Reports use so there are no problems there.
So from where I sit everything looks fine. If I take a look at the SQL server that the report is trying to access it tells me that a login failed for a particular user. That same user is the user name that we've put in the main report so we know it works.
Any assistance would be welcome.
P.S. As an edit to this, when viewing the report in Info View if I click the refresh button then double click on a record on the main report the drill down works successfully. It just does not work the first time I open the report in Info View and try to drill down.
This tells me that I've set the report up successfully as it does work after re-freshing the report in Info View. However why should I have to re-fresh the reoprt in Info View in order to get this working?
