WM Pallet Putaway Strategy

Dear All,

We use Pallet putaway strategy to store cartons and, based on carton type (size) there can be 2, 4, or 10 cartons per bin. Each carton contains a number of items of only one material. Standard P strategy works fine for this. The only thing is that we are getting different materials in the same bin. How best to ensure we get only one material, please?

Mmmm, so if 'A' is also not appropriate, I think your only solution would be to create your own user exit to handle this requirement.

Isn't there any possibility to use P (Pallet) putaway stragey and get only one material in the bin, regardless of the number of pallets?

sounds a common requirement?

That was my fear. Any idea of any SAP standard user exit/BAPI that can be activated before getting to specific developmentt?

We tried to remove Mixed Storage in Storage Type configuration, but we got system message saysing "For strategy P and SU management, only mixed storage X or A approrpiate". So the configuration will not save unless Mixed Storage parameter is either A or X, but not Blank.

Have you removed the 'mixed storage' allowed flag from the storage type settings?
