table maintance generator Events

Hi ,

We r working on Table maintenance generator events for maintenance view.In that we are checking for some data validations when entering the data in View.

Here the issue is , The Error message that we are populating is coming on the Structure screen not in the maintenance screen. it is coming out of the screen . We want that error message to be popup in the table maintainance screen only.

Could anyone please throw some light on this.

Regards,

Kiran

On every event, we can write our coding, wherein we can control the Error Message as to how it should be displayed. Like, Message S000(...) or E000(...).

    Hi,

In the table maintainance generator it is possible to add your own code either by modifying teh screen or inserting your code at different events.

In the menu options on the table generator screen you can find the same.

You can try to put your own validations in the code.

However please note that there is a disadvantage too.

Incase in future you wish to add new fields to your table; then you will have to regenerate the table maintainance generator. In that case your coding will be lost.

So please take a backup of your code before regenerating the table maintainance generator.
