Guaranteed Delivery

I understand XI/PI architecture is differnt from BUS architecture, but is there anyway we can implement guaranteed delivery. In XI/PI, it seems like adapter tries to deliver the message certain no. of times and then message will be failed. We don't want the message to be failed. We want message to be delivered whenever the applciation system is available. Is there anyway we can implement this feature?

Thanks..Hari
