We are running Data Manager / Financial Processes / FX RESTATEMENT package.

This data package works fine when we restrict the Category Dimension to a specifc member. HOWEVER when selecting <ALL> in the FX Restatement Section Processs it comes back with an error.

First when RESTRICITNG to one Category Dim member: = SUCCESS

 (Member Selection)
COMPCODE:
VERSION: VERSION_1
RPTCURRENCY: USD, EUR, AUD
TIME:
[Messages]
------------------------------------------------------------

Application : CURR. Package status: SUCCESS

Second, when NOT RESTRICTING the Category Dimension / selcting <all> = ERROR

(Member Selection)
COMPCODE:
VERSION:
RPTCURRENCY: USD, EUR, AUD
TIME:
[Messages]
------------------------------------------------------------
RUN_LOGIC:No suitable category found in application CURR
Failed
Application : CURR. Package status: ERROR

What does No suitable category found in application CURR mean? ... what is missing between one member and all members? it is the same dimension and application in both test scenarios !

Any thoughts? ... Thanks!

Hi Maximilian,

In my expierience, running packages for all categoryies usually comes up with an error. Is this FX Restatement working with business rules? or Script logic? I find that the business rules usually need at least one explicitly specified category to run, and sometimes only one will work. This expiereince s mainly with BPC 5.1. It probably assumed that you'll only usually want to run FX for one category (certainly not all) in the usual monthly processes of the system. (of course loading mountains of historical data it might be useful to run for all categories!)
