Hi Yvonne,
In the Check SQL Server Memory Allocation for SAP Business part, the suggestion steps for MS. SQL 2005 are missing:
Check SQL Server Memory Allocation for SAP Business One
...
We recommend the following values for these options:
Min server memory should be 100MB
Max server memory is two dependant factors:
- The amount of physical RAM on the machine
- The workload of the machine should be considered - Is it used as a
fileserver? Domain Controller?
Note:
By default SQL Server can change its memory requirements dynamically
based on available system resources.
Depending on your version of MSSQL Server this can be configured as follows:
1. For MSSQL 2000
- Select SQL server in enterprise manager
- Right-click and select Properties
- Select Memory tab
- Keep u2018dynamically configure SQL Serveru2019 selected
- Slide the indicator to 100MB
2. For MSSQL 2005
Select SQL server in management studio:
- Right-click and select Properties
- Select Memory tab
Look at the no. 2, the steps are only until select memory tab. So I assume the next steps are as same as MS SQL 2000. Is it true ?

Hi Jimmey Michael,
For MSSQL 2005 after selecting memory tab on the left hand side, on the right-side you will see two edit boxes:
Minimum server memory (in MB) - Enter 100 MB
Maximum server memory (in MB) - Enter amount in MB depending on customer's server specification
Thank you for letting us know about this. We will update the documentation accordingly.
Kind Regards,
Yvonne
Please can access be provided to customers too? Some of us do our own maintenance!!! _
Thanks!
